persnickety

Capedeville is shooting itself in the foot. Way to many rules way too persnickety.

Most classes got 4-5 races off on Saturday at Fairhope. Capedeville only got off 3.
-Use boat and pin as leeward gate. The gate was too favored every race anyway.
-Really don't need an offset mark since the boats don't head down wind and they sail hot angles.
-More races when you have breeze ! ! !

RC at Fairhope for Vipers did perfect job. They are just over burdened with pernsnickety Capedeville rules. GYA has over complicated the entire process. Now they want to measure every boat for Liptons. It's not a Yachting Association, it is a headache creator association. What can we do to sail less and create more headaches. Now they take a whole day measuring boats instead of sailing. We fixed the problem and then they changed it back in 2018. Geeeze.

Only two races at Meigs for VIpers this year. Only two race for Vipers at Summer regatta this year.

It's not worth the travel time for 5 people to show up and do so few races.

GYA needs to simplify. They have over complicated racing and the class is becoming a joke. Seems like Lightnings and Thistles are getting more races off in these regattas.

I liked the length of the races this past weekend too.
