We beat out to Ship Island (SW sea breeze), had a 2-3 mile close to beam reach out to the sea buoy, and then a very broad reach towards Mobile Bay (we jibed a few times). As I recall near Mobile Bay, the wind started veering to an offshore northwesterly where we were sailing on a fetch broad reach to the finish with the chute up. Race started in 6-7 knots, was around 10-12 ish past Ship Island, and stayed pretty much 8-10 knots for the remainder of the race. We finished around 3am, Decision was 45 minutes in front of us, Zydeco was about 10 minutes behind us. Tiare had the fastest corrected time that year.
