All positive signs you mention but merely a smidgeon of the participation . Truly my favorite event in the last 12 months easily. A bit delusional and in denial if you do not see the age gap missing. Going from 60 boat fleets of 2000-2003 to now 30 boat fleets is common in a 30 year old class. 30 boat fleet is awesome for Covid era also. Fact though is we need to attract age group15-35 to save our sport. I don't want to turn this into a saving yacht clubs thread as we need to figure out how to get a younger generation participating on the water first before we trick them into dues on unnecessary infrastructure.
