Whether you "buy it or not" that members have left due to Covid it is a probable reason. Maybe not for all the former members but I'm sure for some. Either members or their spouses have lost jobs and want to downsize or they just do not feel comfortable hanging out in a group at the club during a pandemic. There are a lot of members that enjoy the social events and grabbing a drink at the bar more than sailing. I think all these ideas that people brainstormed to increase membership are great ideas. I know I originally joined because of Wed nights and the club boats. But since none of us can read peoples minds the easiest way to find out why people left is to just ask them. Give them a call, email, send them a survey, knock on their door...… Once we know exactly what the problem is then we can work on fixing it. They might also find it nice that we actually cared that they left and we want them back.
