Ryan Finn virtual talk in upcoming NEMA meeting

I think some people here know Ryan...

NEMA virtual meeting franta and Finn

F-boat/Corsair/Multihull Friends--You are invited to join the New England Multihull Association virtual meeting Saturday March 13, 5:00-6:30 Eastern (USA) for a virtual boat show with John Franta, proprietor of Colligo Marine, followed by a presentation by Ryan Finn on his attempt to set a record for single handed sailing from New York to San Francisco in his proa, Jzerro.
John Franta and Colligo Marine are known to many of us as a significant contributor to multihull rigging solutions. John is a multihull owner and sailor and is focused on design that is light, strong, and elegant. He will talk about his current offerings and the challenges of designing, executing, and producing reliable parts for our sailboats.

Ryan Finn is an experienced sailor who acquired the proa Jzerro and commissioned her-- with help and sponsorship from Colligo -- for an attempt to set a solo sailing record from New York to San Francisco. Ryan's first attempt came to an abrupt halt with a bang and a major leak in his boat January 22 , the day after his departure from NYC. He limped into port in Virginia and is now planning repairs -- and his next record attempt. Ryan will talk about proa design and the sailing experience, and the challenges ahead.

Register for this event so that you will receive a Zoom invitation. Registration is free, but please consider joining NEMA as a member. Go to www.nemasail.org, select "Events", and go to the March calendar. Sign in with an email address. You will get a Zoom invitation prior to the event.
I hope you will join us.
