You find me the Juniors who wanted to go, or wanted to sail the Viper, and I'll say we failed them. We have a junior program, but they are generally newer sailors who are having fun learning on and sailing the 420s. When they want to move over to sailing the Vipers, they'll have the opportunity, but right now there is limited interest, and this year at least, limit opportunity due to the Covid-19 restrictions. Also, remember most of us millennial members don't have kids yet and the boomer member's kids have moved on. The fact is that the club demographic today is not what it was 25+ years ago, so the junior program is not going to look like it did before. I, for one, am very proud of the opportunities we are able to provide through our current iteration of the Jr. Program and believe we are gaining steam through a growing younger membership to be able to continue on into the future. There will be setbacks that we have to claw back from and changes that will need to happen, but we'll step up and keep it going just like every previous generation has when they were called to.
