A wet sailed boat and a dry sailed boat with similarly finished bottoms (burnished hard bottom paint) would start their lives identical from the factory. Every day the wet sailed boat sits in the water, it gets heavier, softer, slower. If we are talking about 30 year old balsa cored boats (most J boats), there ain’t now way.
