The point of what is going on is to keep the virus from spreading. It's not socially responsible to create hype for "hypothetical" races. We should be setting an example instead of trying to skirt the rules because you say someone else is doing it.

What do you think that will do for the perception of sailing? Do you think it would compound the perception that sailors are a bunch of rich white assholes that can't follow the rules? We all know that is partially not the case but it is a perception that is out there and having an organized, loosely or not, sailing event in the city that has the second largest outbreak in the country sends that message.

Is taking a few weeks off, albeit during some of the better weather of the year, that hard to do when it helps the collective?
